Take a Day Trip to Alpine
There are several scenic routes to Alpine. With their winding roads through lush forests, meadows, and wildlife, it’s reminiscent of a movie scene. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy the serene atmosphere of pine, aspen, and fir trees and maybe meet some friendly locals.
Alpine has quite a few fun and interesting summer events. One of the most awaited is the Alpine Country Blues Festival on June 14 and 15. There will be food vendors and a Beer and Wine garden. The gates open Friday at 4 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m. Bring a blanket or chair.
July 6 and 7th are a family fun-packed few days in Alpine. Kicking off on the 6th with the Arts & Crafts Festival at Mellody Field on Main Street and the Craft Sale and Show at the Community Center from 9 am to 4 pm. Don’t miss the Independence Day Parade on Main Street at 10 am. After the parade at 11 am, hop over to the Corn Hole Tournament at Mellody Field on Main St. Next, check out the Worm Races (Yes, worm races!) at Ye Olde Tavern.
Later, if there are no fire restrictions, the Alpine Fire District will present fireworks in the meadow at 8:30 p.m., a perfect end to a fun-filled day.
Check the Calendar for fun summer events, including the Hummingbird Festival, the Alpine Quilt Show, and the Arizona Mushroom Society. In August, get in the spirit of Christmas at the Bush Valley Craft Club Christmas Bazaar. The Backwoods Scavenger Hunt and Chili Cookoff in September begin the fall activities. Take a leisurely trip to Alpine and be transported to this peaceful community of friendly Alpine folk.
